a catchphrase used to characterise a brusque, cursory sexual act. The expres-sion was heard among American servicemen in World War II (probably adopted from cowboy parlance). Cur-rently the phrase is most often employed disapprovingly by feminists and others to describe a selfish or boor-ish male attitude to sex.
